Warranty
Last updated August 2026
Everything we make is covered against manufacturing defects. This page sets out exactly what that means, and — just as importantly — what it does not cover, so there are no arguments later.
What is covered
- Manufacturing defects for 12 months from the invoice date: failed solder joints, faulty clasps, misaligned settings and similar workmanship faults.
- Stone security for 12 months. If a stone works loose or drops out of its setting under normal wear, we reset or replace it at no charge.
- Purity, always. The gold purity stated on your invoice is guaranteed for the life of the piece. If any assay ever contradicts our hallmark, we will make it right in full.
What is not covered
- Normal wear: surface scratches, gradual thinning of chains and rings, and dulling of polish.
- Damage from impact, crushing, or being caught on something.
- Chemical damage from perfume, chlorine, bleach or cosmetics.
- Work carried out by another jeweller after purchase.
- Loss or theft.
- Rhodium plating on white gold, which is a finish and wears off with time — see below.
Plating and polish
Rhodium plating on white gold typically lasts twelve to eighteen months depending on how often the piece is worn. Re-plating is a maintenance job, not a warranty claim. We do it at cost for pieces bought from us.
Making a claim
Bring the piece and your invoice to the shop. We will inspect it and tell you on the spot whether it is a warranty repair or a chargeable one — and if it is chargeable, what it will cost, before we begin.
Keep your invoice. It carries the weight, purity and stone details that the warranty is written against, and we cannot verify a claim without it.
